There has been an unfortunate rise in the amount of vandalism that has been occurring across the United States and a number of large cities have had to respond to these increases with extra law enforcement personnel. Some people suggest the vandalism is a result of the recession but other say it is part of an overall increase in the number of non-violent crimes occurring in the country. In addition to police surveillance, some home owners have taken it upon themselves to use alarm monitoring to make sure that vandalizes can be recorded or even caught in the act of defacing property.
