Created in the late 1800s, the first private sports club was a much different arena than today's facilities which often don't require any type of special requirements for membership beyond an ability to afford the monthly or yearly fee. And today's nationwide indoor courts construction design building usually encompasses such considerations as whether visitors require facilities built for use by disabled individuals or materials used to maintain an earth friendly design. The oldest sports clubs a hundred years ago generally would not place any consideration on the wants and needs of individuals in wheelchairs and would not provide facilities for women.
